Pantone color 1205c
A neutral color that can be both traditional and contemporary, depending on how you style it. Its natural warmth brings an uplifting joy to spaces. Welcome this colour into your home with blonde woods, backlighting, and through solid surfaces like countertops. Other neutrals you will see this season are warm grey and earth brown.
Over the past year, there has been a huge shift towards brown rather than the ever present black. Not to say that black has been ruled out completely but more that brown is taking a step forward into center stage. This year, browns step into interiors in all shades but we are seeing a lot more dark, earthy browns adding nature elements into the home.
Coronavirus kept us indoors so naturally as lockdowns ease/cease, people want to get outdoors and bring the outdoors into their homes. Green makes a return in a big way this season. Quartz and natural stone elements are also a huge trend in 2022.
Green quartz will be used as a neutral shade as well as in statement pieces.
Bold, bright, and joyful, usually such a bold color choice would be used in fashion, however we will see this optimistic color used in interiors. Works well in the retro trend that we have been seeing gaining more and more attention.
Evolving from the Fortuna gold color trend OF 2021, 2022 sees Military gold as the new metallic for interiors. Military gold can be used in a matt application for a grounding tone or rev it up with a shimmer to add depth and luxury. Great when pulled into lux fabrics like velvet upholstery.
